We are committed to providing high-quality services to our community in a variety of areas. Our goal is to empower disadvantaged girls and young mothers through life skills development training, humanitarian support, village savings initiatives, the elimination of gender-based violence, and the enhancement of food security.

Through our programs and services, we aim to build the capacity of our organization to provide the best possible support to our target communities. We are constantly striving to improve our offerings and expand our reach to ensure that we are meeting the needs of those we serve.

Whether you are a young mother in need of support, a community member looking to get involved, or a donor interested in making a difference, we invite you to join us in our mission. Together, we can create a brighter future for disadvantaged girls and young mothers in Uganda.

Our mission at Strong Hands Uganda is to promote a mindset change among child and single young mothers, empowering them to support their children and live meaningful lives in their communities. As a non-governmental organization, we are committed to providing the necessary resources and support to help these young women break free from poverty, gain new skills, and become independent, self-sufficient members of society. Through our work, we aim to build a brighter future for disadvantaged girls and young mothers in Uganda, promoting equality, empowerment, and social change.

Co-creation and collaboration:

Empowerment and capacity building

Sustainability and impact

Strong Hands Uganda adopts a participatory and community-driven approach to sustainable development, working closely with disadvantaged girls, young mothers, and their communities to identify their needs, priorities, and aspirations. This approach involves the following key elements:

Community engagement

We recognize the importance of engaging with the communities it serves in order to better understand their needs and priorities. Through regular meetings, focus groups, and other participatory methods, Strong Hands Uganda seeks to build trust and ownership of programs and services among community members. This approach helps to ensure that programs and services are responsive to the needs of the community and that they are more likely to be effective and sustainable.

Co-creation and collaboration

We acknowledge that sustainable development requires a collaborative approach that involves working in partnership with communities, local organizations, and other stakeholders. By co-creating solutions that are tailored to the specific needs and context of each community, Strong Hands Uganda ensures that its programs and services are more likely to be effective and sustainable. Collaboration also helps to build capacity and strengthen relationships between community members and other stakeholders, fostering a sense of shared ownership and responsibility.

Empowerment and capacity building

We also believe that empowerment and capacity building are essential components of sustainable development. By building the skills, knowledge, and confidence of disadvantaged girls and young mothers, Strong Hands Uganda enables them to take control of their lives and become agents of change in their communities. Strong Hands Uganda also provides access to resources and networks that enable its community to achieve their goals and aspirations, such as vocational training, financial literacy, and access to markets and other economic opportunities

Sustainability and impact

We prioritize sustainability and impact in all its programs and services. This means that Strong Hands Uganda works to ensure that its programs and services are effective, efficient, and have lasting benefits for our communities. Strong Hands Uganda also measures the impact of its programs and services, using data and feedback from communities and other stakeholders to continuously improve and refine its approach.
